Health Care Aide (Combined Skills)
Certificate Program

24 week certificate program.

Program Description
This nationally recognized certificate program provides balanced and complete training in the classroom and supervised clinical experience in a care facility

Objective
Upon successful completion of ProCare Institute’s Health Care Aide Program, the graduate will be capable of providing professional and personal care in all settings.


Evaluation
There are five levels in the program, with an exam at the end of each level. A minimum mark of 65% on each level exam is required in order to move on to the next level of the program. An overall average mark of 70% (based on exams, classroom and clinical evaluations and assignments) is required for graduation.

Costs

  • Tuition $7585.00
  • Books and supplies approximately $400.00
    [textbooks, uniform, transfer belt, student identification, printed materials]

 Hours of instruction

  • Classroom: approximately 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Clinical experience: approximately 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • 3 days per week, 8 hours a day
  • 2 days for home study, if desired. Students may book extra time with instructors on these two days at no extra charge

  • Grade 11, or mature student status
  • Medical clearance, TB test, criminal record check
